Affirmative Action Nobel Prize
The Messiah won the Nobel Peace Prize.
President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.
Nobel observers were shocked by the unexpected choice so early in the Obama presidency, which began less than two weeks before the Feb. 1 nomination deadline.
His greatest accomplishment was bringing hope into our lives!
The Norwegian Nobel Committee lauded the change in global mood wrought by Obama’s calls for peace and cooperation but recognized initiatives that have yet to bear fruit: reducing the world stock of nuclear arms, easing American conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthening the U.S. role in combating climate change.
“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” said Thorbjoern Jagland, chairman of the Nobel Committee.
Still, the U.S. remains at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. Congress has yet to pass a law reducing carbon emissions and there has been little significant reduction in global nuclear stockpiles since Obama took office.
Of course the whole thing is PC dog and pony show. It went to Gore in 2006 for raising awareness about global warming and Mandela in 93 for destroying South Africa. You’d think that they’d hide the 19 year old girl side of themselves better though.
Just count this as another thing to look back and laugh at when this country permanently falls to second world living standards under our first black president.

Update 2: Take a look at the Nobel Committee. Four women and one man, all very Nordic and delicate looking. In The 10,000 Year Explosion, Cochran and Harpending hope that one day bio-history will be established as a field of inquiry. One of the most interesting questions will certainly be whether the Vikings were domesticated through a long period of civilization. They undoubtably are more prone to liberalism than other whites.
Update 3: I’ve been thinking and there is one thing Obama’s done for world peace that nobody’s considered. He beat war-loving lunatic John McCain in the last election and stopped him from becoming president. Or maybe they should’ve given the award to whomever ran McCain’s campaign.

I was a former school teacher, and I always had a blast when I had students like yourselves in the class who would (and could) talk constructivly and examine an issue from various perspectives, without being overly concerned about coming across as ‘right’ or ‘wrong’.

I was using 115 — a one standard deviation difference. I realize that some estimates have a more modest gap, but the basic point remains — that a significant gap will produce successively more even ratios at higher and higher IQ levels.
Ten million was just an estimate but it’s probably not too far off. Wikipedia says that there are 13.1 million Jews in the world, 80% of whom are Ashkenazic. That gives about 10.5 million Ashkenazi Jews.

That may be so. Also, I doubt that there is enough data to clearly determine the shapes of IQ distributions way out in the right tail. Also, as liberals are fond of telling us, environment and culture do play a role in these things.
Still, my point stands:

That’s not exactly my position. I mainly brought up the subject of IQ differences to counter the claim that the amount of gentile whites with high IQ’s “grossly dwarfs” the amount of Jews worldwidw with high IQs.
The question of Jewish influence is a bit different, since you don’t need to have a sky-high IQ to succeed as a senior political or administrative official. An IQ in the 125 to 130 range is plenty to be a succesful politician and many get by with much lower intelligence.
That said, to address, for example, the number of Jewish Senators, I would want to have a good estimate of verbal IQ among American Jews. I would be extremely skeptical that it’s the result of organized Jewish behavior or nepotism or anything like that but obviously I’m willing to entertain the possibility.

No problem Garnet, no problem at all.
Just for the record once again, I am one that is not in favor of ‘Nordicism’ or any other kind of supremacy or ‘fetishism’ — be it White, Jewish or Oriental. I am against all kinds of elitism, whether they’re ‘politically correct’ or not. I was primarily registering my disapproval of those sickos who think they can ‘engineer’ their child like they are creating a robot… who think life is some kind of ‘Gattaca’ movie.
Additionally, I did not say that “nobody’ likes dark hair and eyes” just saying since this combination is far more common than light hair/eyes that these elitists who are willing to pay a lot of money for a certain look that they don’t likely possess.
A quote from another commenter on the ‘Eugenics Watch’ thread captures my feelings on this weirdness rather well:

Note: NZ has had 3 Jewish Prime Ministers, including the current (half-)Jewish PM, according to John Key’s Wikipedia article.
I would hazard a guess that NZ’s cultural and legislative currents are influenced by what happens in the U.S. (very high level of Jewish influence), U.K. (less so directly, obviously highly influenced by the U.S.), Canada (similar to U.K.), and Australia (I am unfamiliar the level of direct Jewish influence here, but assume a significant indirect influence via the U.S. in particular).
