O’Reilly didn’t join in. Might he have a racialist bone or two in his body that he has to suppress during segments like this? I don’t watch him enough to know.

Funny that even on a conservative talk show they don’t have someone on to speak out against inter-racial marriage.
Are there any prominent conservatives who publicly oppose inter-racial marriage? At a minimum, one of them could point out that the diversity of the human race might be worth preserving.

I was thinking mainly in terms of conservationism. By way of analogy, most people would see some value in preserving polar bears and brown bears as distinct populations.
Of course the other obvious benefit is that people of European descent are pretty much the only group (or set of groups) which has shown itself to be capable of serious technological and scientific creativity.
It would be nice if mankind eventually develops the ability to take care of threatening asteroids. Or to visit other planets. If European-descended people were absorbed into the rest of the world’s population, we might find it much more difficult to accomplish these sorts of things.

Interesting note: all three bi-racial adults Hoover named – Obama (part Kenyan), Carey (part African-Venezuelan and African-American), and Reeves (part Hawaiian and Chinese) – had their parents divorce while very young.

Most miscegeny seems to arise out of fad or desperation or both. Consider the mental and physical characteristics of most of the individuals involved. Look at Barry’s mom, Stan the Man! Are there really enough instances to even care?

There is no need to focus so much on interracial marriage and race-mixing during these times of racial trouble.
Right now the weakest Whites are breeding out of the White gene-pool and thus leaving only the most ethnocentric Whites for the future…that’s a good thing, like gold being refined in a furnace. Let the weak, leftist, pro-miscegenation Whites go ahead and breed out — we don’t want them as part of our people anyway.

Sailer has pointed out that many female op-ed writers get most passionate and engaged when describing how society should be remade so that they personally will be considered more sexually attractive.
Something similar may be going on here; maybe the Hoover chick’s slept with (or at least been attracted to) black men, and somewhere in the way back corners of her mind worries what people will think.

On one hand you’re right. Race-conscious whites exaggerate the amount of miscegenation going on. 3% of whites marry out, and about 4% of white women have ever had sex with a black. When people talk about seeing it everywhere, it’s because of the “turd in a pool” effect; it’s just impossible to miss and ruins the whole pool (from a psychological POV).
You’re also right that race-mixers tend to be the dregs. However, they do not live in bubbles. Mixed offspring are living testaments to their white peers that miscegenation is normal and acceptable. Those mixed kids are family. And they’ll be more likely to mix with whites than blacks are. It’s one thing to remain separate from an obviously alien group, like blacks. It’s another to resist the slow creep of mixing from the bird’s eye POV.
